I live
in Ultimo, in the city fringe. This area unfortunately suffers from,
amongst others, spitters and rubbish dumpers, which is rather tragic
for someone who emanates from a country which considers these practices
abhorrent.
We would
all like to see multiculturalism succeed but, realistically, this is
an impractical ambition based on romantic idealism. It’s nice to
call Sydney the “melting pot”, but is it, really? Let’s
face it, it’s more like a fractured mosaic, the way I see it.
