Construction
Hours
Normal
construction hours are:
Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 1pm
The operation of rockhammers are only scheduled to occur between the
following hours: (unless otherwise approved by the EPA).
Monday
to Friday 8am to noon and 2pm to 5pm, Saturday 8am to noon
Night
Works
There
will be some night and weekend works associated with the service relocation
works and Western distributor widening works. In addition, some heavy
equipment deliveries may need to be undertaken out of hours for safety
reasons. The community will be notified in advance of these activities.
Traffic
and Parking Changes
Day Street
is now closed at Sussex Street. Entry to Day Street is via Bathurst
Street.
There
will be some parking changes in King Street, Druitt Place and Druitt
Lane as a result of service diversion works. The community will be notified
in advance of these changes.
Pedestrian
Access
Safe pedestrian
access will be maintained at all times. Detour signage is in place to
guide pedestrians.
Noisy
Works
There
will be some noisy works associated with construction activity. These
include rock excavation, line drilling and sawcutting. Every effort
will be made to keep noise disruptions to a minimum in accordance with
the Environment Protection Agency and PlanningNSW Approval Conditions.
