AMENDEMENT: (Belleli/Woodsmith) CARRIED; BECAME THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED - SEE RESOLUTION. RESOLVED: (Belleli/Woodsmith) that the General Manger write to the Labor State Government that controls the National Parks & Wildlife Service (that has erected a sign indicating that the beach is not a Nudist Beach and on which there is a Crime Stopper telephone number for the local Police) and to the Local Member of Parliament protesting in the strongest terms about the failure of the signage to enforce the correct and current restrictions on nude bathing at Little Congwong Beach. Mayor's Weekly Message - 29 November 2005 Little Congwong Beach Council unanimously opposed any plans for Little Congwong Beach to become a nudist beach at last week's meeting. Councillors also requested that the General Manager write to the National Parks and Wildlife Service and the State Government with their concerns that the new signs have not been effective in ensuring compliance with the current restrictions on nude bathing at Little Congwong. Councillors miss the point Councillors, I'm afraid you missed the point if your intention was not against genuine naturism but against "beat users" engaging in illegal sexual activity at Little Congwong beach, La Perouse. These gay boys are not called "Speedo queens" for nothing. They're not naturists, so you've just handed the beach over to the gay community in Speedos and trunks with your attempt to ban naturist families. Listen to locals. It's our beach. Please reconsider.
